Today I had my Marketing group over for lunch and I went all out...a full course meal. Cooking has always been my relaxation (John can attest to this! hahaha). I think they were sort of surprised when they arrived...biscuits, tossed salad with turkey and swiss cheese rolls, angel hair pasta with tomato-mushroom sauce, and apple-cinnamon crepes. I wish I had time to cook decent meals all week. I think that's why I go crazy with the cooking on weekends since my schedule during the week is so prohibitive. hehehehe. In any case, they wolfed it down...so either I did pretty good, or they were just really hungry. I think I'll go with the former. hahahahha. [I miss cooking for my hubby!]
Anyway, we're having a despedida for Ate Elena. Another one leaves the group...sigh...sad. But then, she got this awesome job offer, so I'm really happy for her. I will miss her, though. She's such an energetic person...always so positive! And I love just talking to her because she is so sensible, in a cool way--not condescending, not arrogant, and extremely funny to boot. This is the part I hate; I don't do too well with goodbyes. But then, I suppose this line works here, too, "It's not goodbye, it's see you later." God bless, Ate! You rock!
Okay, anyway, gotta get ready for the party. Have to get the dessert going:)
You all have a great weekend!
