My STL gratitude list

I've always believed that the everyday things and events in life give much reason to be thankful. John and I took a weekend roadtrip to St. Louis, Missouri, my "home" for 18 months during my AIPT internship at the Marriott. The pictures below the post may take a while to load...

Things to be thankful for...

...cruisin' with awesome sounds blasting...

...sharing a wonderful meal with John at one of my favorite restaurants, Sen-Thai Asian Bistro. I used to tell him about it, and now he finally got to share it with me!

...spending time with friends who saw me through some of the rough patches. Gia, this picture is missing you! STL was not the same without you, sis!

...enjoying a night out, drinking Coronas and amaretto sours, and rockin' to the house band at Big Bang

...going for a walk in the sunshine by the pond....I once sent John a picture with the same background...

...what's STL without a trip up to the very top of the Gateway Arch? This photo was actually taken while we waited for the rain to settle down. We got stuck at the Metrolink station, but decided to make the most of the view:)

...John got to meet his first cousin, Grace:) They've known about each other their whole lives, and finally met face to face... Anna and Ate Nyree, we missed you and wished you could have been there with us!

...sharing stories about the family roots...it was exciting to be part of the family reunion (wait, can you call it that if they've never met before?)...

...having the chance to introduce John to the people I worked with...sharing Sunday brunch with John--actually being able to sit down and enjoy it rather than prepare it was a welcome change! having it comped was icing on the cake...I swear I am so in the right industry!

...the restaurant has been refurbished...looks fresher somehow...but more changes to come as the Marriott turns it over to another chain.

...having John on the foreground for a change...I've got so many pictures at this park, with the Arch in the background, now it's his turn!

...driving through a beautiful sunset..and more importantly, having a camera to capture it! ...one picture was not enough...click, click, click away! ...the sky is God's canvas at dusk...

...thank you, Lord for eyes to see the wonders and beauty of Your love!
