pebbles of thought

UP Eng'g Week

Emotions are charged. I mean, I remember how we busted our butts, mega overnight sa practices, takbo from one game to the next, etc, etc...pero I always remember that it was SO MUCH FUN. Ngayon parang winning is the end all and be all. I mean, yes, of course being THE champs would be the ultimate rush, pero hindi lang naman hanggang doon, diba?

Maybe I was less attached to it when I was there, pero honestly, I don’t even remember kung nagplace ba kami sa volleyball...kung sino nanalo sa Indakan those years...or what-have-you. Pero what I do remember are the crazy times...yung tipong practice kayo hanggang 3am tapos ang pasok nyo eh ang aga aga...exam pa sa Math 53 or something. Hehehehe. Or yung Shay at Kenneth na tandem (remember? All that stuff. Yun naaalala ko. I even remember nung tayo nagpakana na after Ms Eng’g eh we cheered for all the orgs (at honest to goodness di kaplastikan na we did it)....I so could not see that happening this year.

Current members: Whatever the outcome, I'm still proud of you because you gave it your best. One can only give so much...you still have to balance Eng'g Week with all the responsibilities you have. What matters is that you were there, you were part of it all...you saw how united the org is...you helped to keep things together. In the process, I hope you all created closer friendships, discovered more about each other and about the org, and most importantly, HAD FUN. That's what Eng'g Week is about. Or at least, that's how I'll always remember it!

Sigh...those were the days...
I miss Cursor.

Tanong ko lang...

Kelangan ba lahat ng bagay black and white? You spend so much time analyzing things when you just have to accept that sometimes, people prefer the shades of gray. So it doesn’t work for you...so it’s not systematic...so it makes no sense. Parang naman mababago mo sila. I mean I agree with you. Pero work around it. Find a way to make sense of it. Triangulate the data.

I’ll give you my reasons why, tapos sasabihin mo, you don’t think so. Ano ba?!

Nasaan ang chestnuts?

"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire..." So like, this song was popularized by several American singers...but I've never seen vendors selling chestnuts...much less roasting on an open fire! Which reminds me, it has been forever and a day since I've had puto bungbung (tama ba yung spelling nyan? hehehehe). I miss Simbang Gabi too. Malapit na Noche Buena. Buti na lang John and I will be going to his aunt's place in Houston. I'm sure that will involve the traditional Christmas mass and noche buena. wooohooooo. Can't wait. Kulit.
