The holidays just came and went and now I'm back to work:) However, I've decided to take some time out to write about what kept me busy the past three weeks...

After months of planning,
Judy and John finally tied the knot. The wedding turned out great--the glowing bride, the dashing groom...and of course, the fantastic entourage. hahahaha. Kuya Roderick, Maureen, John, Kuya Attan, Kat, and I had so much fun...it was stressful, but definitely well worth it all! It was simple, yet beautiful. Next project is to help Judy with the scrapbook...if she ever gets to print the pictures. Everyone pretty much had a digicam so she has MORE than enough pictures to choose from! I'll work on the slideshow and post a link..sometime in the [near] future.

The day after the wedding, John and I flew to North Carolina to meet up with my college buddies, Stanford and Leah. Although it's been several years since we last hung out, it didn't feel like it! We just pretty much picked up where we left off 7 years ago. Of course, John added to the equation was great too! They're all avid programmers so when the geekspeak set in, I tuned out. hahahaha. kidding. But really, I'm glad that they finally met him..they've been hearing about him for so long! hahaha. Now they know that he truly isn't just a figment of my [overactive] imagination! I have not been able to organize my pictures, so I'll use
Stanford's until I get around to making my own! [thanks, stan!].
Here's a short clip of the "
Acorn Drop", Raleigh's version of NYC's ball drop during new year's eve.

The last leg of my trip was Houston for the annual national graduate student conference for hospitality and tourism. It is always a great place to network and learn about what other grad students are doing for their research.
K-State just did a 3-peat. We won the award for Best Paper again this year. First it was Chihyung (now Dr. Ok), then Eunju, and now....ME! Woohooo! I was on cloud nine:) Totally unexpected, but I am not complaining! hahaha. What an honor. I think it was also perfect timing since I'll be in the market for a job soon. [thanks for the pics, Dave! slideshow soon to follow]
Edit: slideshow is done!So there you go...what a way to end 2006 and start 2007 with a bang!
Happy new year, everyone!
