I lay awake as dawn breaks

past the eternity of night,

The early morning rays

filter through the window panes;

Forcing my eyes to open

for yet another day;

I try to push the sunlight away

but I feel its gentle radiance

caress my face.

I open the window

for the warmth to rush right in...

For the sun rises and sets upon your smile.
