the sweetest things...

Two of my "younger sisters" started this list of your collectible moments and asked others to list their own. Just for the heck of it...I'll oblige:) I'll make it a little different though and not just focus on sweet things that your crush or your significant other does/did for you...but these are just sweet things in general that guys have done for me --type of relationship is inconsequential. Anna and Con said 10, but I just might be able to drum up more than that.

• a VERY shy guy giving you a compilation of songs that tell a story...and his feelings for you [so yeah, okay, I just had to start with something John did...oh and by the way, you read that right...he used to be VERY SHY. hahahahaha]
  
• keeping a promise that's 2 years old even when you don't have the same relationship as you did when the promise was made
• i agree with anna on this one: a guy willing to hold your hand just because...even when there are no strings attached. i would have to agree with the kisses on the forehead and the unexpected hugs, too
  
• a guy you can call all hours of the night or day, who can spend 3 hours on the phone listening to you rant and rave, and still have the energy to be optimistic and comforting
• sitting outside and spending the night hanging out with you because you got locked out of the dorm
• a guy willing to go to lunch with your parents even when you are not around [wait, not just my parents--the whole clan!]...and John did this for 5 years...
• guys who are willing to look out for you while you are going through your awkward stage [john, peter, pep, eung hwa, ritch...i always appreciated it, really]
  
• rescuing you on the dance floor when some thug is making a pass at you [please take note that this guy DOES NOT dance...unless he's drunk...but he was absolutely sober at the time]
• not complaining when you're PMSing [hehehe, is that even a word?]
  
• putting you in your place when you're being unreasonable without making you feel stupid
  
• going to church with you on your birthday just because he knows it means a lot to you
• accompanying your mom and actually listening to her talk about her dreams for you
• lending you his computer so he can fix yours
• as bad as [most] guys are with dates, i think it's sweet when guys remember your birthday
• giving you advice you NEED, not just telling you what you want to hear [pao, i appreciate the "bringing-me-back-to-earth" sermons...in the long run, at least. hehehehe]
  
• appreciating your cooking even if your dish has no definite name:) hahahahaha
  
• laughing with me no matter what...whether the object of the joke is me, himself, or something external
• learning about your culture even if you're worlds apart and calling you "ate" [pronounced as ah-tay]
• cooking for you even when you're supposed to be the cook getting the meal on the table
• saving a seat for you in class so you get the one you want [erwin, the pulvoron was a nice touch too...no wonder people thought we were together...but nah, that would have been like incest!]
  
• a guy comforting you even as you are breaking his heart because you're crying over someone else...a few years later, the tables are turned....still several years later, you say your I DO's. Happiness is marrying your best[est] friend. Now that's the sweetest thing...[okay, so that was really mushy...so sue me!]

I'm sure there's much more...but those are the ones that came to mind....
