Meat & Potatoes

I am in the Midwest, afterall. Beef, beef, and more beef.

Steak: New York strip cooked following Alton Brown's directions. The only modification was that I used Pampered Chef's Jamaican Jerk Rub.

Potatoes: Another one from my class functions:)
1 lb Baby red potatoes, cut in halves
1 Tbsp Olive oil
1 Tbsp butter
1 1/2 garlic cloves, minced
fresh rosemary (I put about 2 sprigs)
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp lemon juice (I used kalamansi juice)
1/2 tsp sugar

Bake the potatoes until fork tender but still firm. Saute potatoes in next five ingredients until well coated and golden brown. Add lemon/kalamansi juice and sugar, toss, and serve.
